Orange County Trust Company donates a home to Habitat for Humanity

MIDDLETOWN, NY - Orange County Trust Company recently donated a house located at 54 Wickham Avenue in Middletown, NY, to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Middletown. Renovations to the home are scheduled to begin in November.

"We are very happy for this opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity and a deserving family. Home ownership is vital to our community and as a local bank serving Middletown for 119 years, we want to see this town and its people thrive", stated Terry Saturno, President and CEO of Orange County Trust Company.

A local family will be chosen by Habitat for Humanity to live in this home. Requests for applications will be taken until November 15, 2011. Volunteers are needed to help with the clean-out of the house. The home's kitchen, bathroom, roof, wiring and heating will be brought up to code and all windows will be replaced with energy efficient windows. Habitat for Humanity has a goal of June, 2012, for the home to be completed and the family to move in.
