MIDDLETOWN, NY - Tim McCausland, Vice President of Orange County Trust Company, announced today that the financial institution is sponsoring an on-going series of seminars in conjunction with the Gateway for Entrepreneurial Tomorrows, Inc. ("GET"), in Newburgh to take place later this fall. These seminars have been developed to support small businesses being mentored by GET. "We believe in providing nuts and bolts expertise as well as financial support in order to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit within local communities," Mr. McCausland comments.
The initiative includes a four-part, bilingual seminar series specifically designed for new businesses and addresses legal issues, record keeping & taxes, marketing, and available sources of business financing.
Founded in 2005, GET offers a variety of services to minority and low income families/individuals who have an idea to start a new business in the Hudson Valley, have not previously been exposed to a business environment, and may not have sufficient entrepreneurial experience skills to successfully launch a commercial venture.
